However, the bed was extremely comfortable and breakfast was very good, a good variety of food options; fresh fruits, cereal, full English with vegetarian options. And a lovely swimming pool. The property is in the heart of town so plenty of nightlife. The train station is within walking distance and the university is right there. One major downside is the car park… better to use one nearby, a lot cheaper too.

Rooms a bit dates and nothing special at all for the price. Better options nearby. I have a habit of staying here regularly when in Sheffield on business as I have done so for years...and have stuck with it because of on-site parking and ease of access etc. However, the parking is now managed via a 3rd party and if you leave the car park for an hour and come back it's a pain, as there are just 2 payment rates (£12 day rate/£18 overnight). There is a way around it by explaining to reception each time but I just found it badly managed and impractical. Executive rooms are basically standard rooms with a coffee machine and a bathrobe. Breakfast is good. Shop nextdoor is handy, and a good range of restaurants nearby

The Novotel in Sheffield was ideally located in the centre of the city, reasonably priced and certainly quiet. The room was comfortable and well maintained.
