It’s difficult to open and close the patio door with a plate and wine glass in your hands. That’s it. We wracked our brains trying to come up with a complaint about this hotel, and that’s what we came up with. OK, we’d also prefer blue pool towels.
My partner and I stayed here for four nights as part of a multi-stop tour, and it set the standard for the rest of the trip. This small, 25-room, adults-only hotel is in the quiet resort town of Ypsos, with restaurants, bars, the waterfront, and beaches all within a 10-20 minute walk. Parking is included, and Old Corfu, the airport, and Paleokastritsa are all about 25-30 minutes away by car.
The property appears recently built or renovated, with beautiful landscaping and impeccable maintenance. The large pool was one of the nicest we’ve experienced, with plenty of sturdy loungers and a peaceful, adults-only atmosphere.
Our room was spacious, with a large balcony overlooking the pool, plenty of storage, a small fridge, Nespresso machine, and a modern bathroom with a rainhead shower.
Breakfast was another highlight. The buffet changed daily but always offered an excellent selection of hot dishes, fresh fruit, vegetables, cheeses, cold cuts, breads, pastries, and made-to-order coffee. Service was exceptional throughout our stay.
We’ve stayed at nicer hotels in Europe, perhaps, but none we could actually afford if paying out of pocket. We’ll be back!
