Great stay with a toddler

We stayed at Scandic Parken for 2 nights with our 18 month old daughter and it was an excellent base to explore Ålesund. Parking was very convenient with a door leading from the car park straight to the hotel elevator. We were able to check in early and the requested cot was already set up in our room. The room was spacious, modern and comfortable with a bath, which is ideal with a little one! Breakfast was fantastic with lots of choice. The hotel is conveniently located for exploring Ålesund. We highly recommend.

Such a turn off!

Everything was great until a rude female bartender ruined our stay. Since there was no kettle in the room, we went to reception asking for a kettle or some hot water. The receptionist told us to get from the counter opposite to the bar. When we came out, encountered this female bartender who said we should not get the hot water with the porcelain cups there and we explained. She even said loudly in our “class” we didn’t deserve a kettle. What a rude way to treat the customers, she not even know what rooms or suites we stayed in and she was still after us…

Gutes zentrales Hotel

Für Ålesund-Besucher ein ideales Hotel. Man ist zu Fuß in 5 Min am Hafen und in der Altstadt und in 2 Min am Fjellstua-Berg. Freundliches Personal, gemütliche Lobby und große Zimmer. Die Einrichtung ist nicht mehr extrem modern, aber ausreichend und dazu sehr sauber.

Hôtel près de la partie touristique de la ville, ce fait à pied. Pres de restaurants! Chambre confortable avec smart TV ( Netflix ) ! Lit confortable avec couette en plume !Bon dejeuner! Nous sommes restés seulement 1 nuit mais recommande !

Lyxigt men varmt rum.

Stort och fint rum. Vi var i Norge sju nätter och detta var vårat finaste boende. Men! Det var 30 grader ute och tyvärr väldigt varmt på rummet. Trots öppna fönster fick vi aldrig ner temperaturen så att det blev behagligt. ACn funkade ej (gällde hela hotellet). Ganska stort minus för detta då flera andra hotell klarade av att ha svala och härliga rum. Detta var också vårat dyraste boende och då borde man kunna leverera bättre. Ligger perfekt nära aksla. Mycket kvällsliv som hördes på grund av de öppna fönstren. Ofta kö i hissen och barnen fick ingen mocktail (trots att det tydligen var en sommardrive på detta på alla scandic..) Stimmig frukostmatsal utan fönster men god frukost.

The hotel is centrally located. We stayed there the night before the Geiranger fjord cruise. It was walkable from the hotel to the boat dock. Also, the hotel prepared a breakfast to go because we left before the dining room opened. It was very good service on their part.

Loved the property! Our king room on a higher floor had an amazing view of the town and water. View was just as good from our window as it was from that steep hike you can do to overlook the town. Ceiling to floor windows. We left curtains open all night it was so pretty. Staff was great. Friendly and nice Only criticism is parking. Had to parallel park on the hilly streets and move the car by like 7am or pay a lot for hotel lot. But parking in Norway at hotels is expensive and rare

Tiefparterre für Premiumpreis

An der Rezeption total unmotivierter Mitarbeiter, der es gerade noch geschafft hat, einem die Zimmernummer zu nennen. Das Zimmer war dann Tiefparterre mit nicht zu öffendem Fenster und nicht runterregelbarer Klimaanlage, zum Schlafen sehr unangenehm, das Ganze für einen stattlichen Preis, selbst für Norwegen nicht gerade günstig. Immerhin: Zimmer geräumig und sauber, Frühstück gut, deshalb trotzdem noch 3 Sterne
