Relaxing couples break

Stayed in a luxury double room which was large and comfortable. Timed slots for the spa meant it is quiet & relaxing. Evening meals in the restaurant were superb, especially the raspberry soufflé. Staff friendly & knowledgable. Would definitely stay again.

A lovely country house hotel. Our room was very spacious with an outside patio where we enjoyed a complimentary glass of wine. The bathroom was large with a bath and a shower. We ate in the “Tasting Room” and very much enjoyed the tasting menu. The area outside the hotel has pleasant area with tables and chairs which we enjoyed as it was a warm sunny day. The hotel is quite expensive, but we thought it worth the money. The spa was OK, small and a little tired but we enjoyed our swim in the pool.

Superbly professional and friendly service. Enjoyed a room upgrade for a special birthday. Flowers and chocolates from the family were in the room when I arrived as well as a beautiful and delicious cake provided at dinner. Spa staff were friendly and added to the relaxation. Such a wonderful time at the Vineyard to celebrate my husbands birthday. The food was amazing, room so comfortable and what made it really special was the friendliness of the staff. We were treated so well and made to feel so welcome by everyone.

Excellent hotel. Staff were superb, very friendly. Had a luxury suite which was very clean and bigger than I thought. Spa was very good as well, but you will have to book a slot for the pool as you can't just wander in . Dined in both the Outside restaurant and the main hotel restaurant both were extremely good and the food was excellent. Hope to return in the not too distant future.

Fabulous stay

We had a fabulous time. Unfortunately our bed was made up as a double bed but it was soon rectified and we were upgrated to a suite so we had our twin beds. Everything about the hotel was lovely - it is very traditional with very friendly staff. The spa was fabulous and was empty when we visited. HIghly recommended and we would definitely stay again.

Perfectly pleasant place to stay. I booked with the intention of using the spa. Having drove down from Yorkshire I was told there was only 18 spaces so could not use the spa facilities. I was not guided that any pre booking was required ….perhaps naive of me. So quite disappointed. Would have looked at other venues if I knew I could not use all the facilities.

Lovely

Luxurious full stop. Delicious food and incredible wine. Very slightly over friendly staff who in the restaurant are a bit disorganised. The Maitre D needs to take control. Also familiarity is fine but when a customer orders another glass of wine a waiter shouldnt remark” gosh you really are an alcoholic” !! We thought it funny but others wouldnt. But the quality is great and they mean well so we had a terrific dinner and a comfortable stay.

Customer-facing service could have been better

The staff were all very friendly but when it came to a fault on their part, I don’t think they handled it in the most professional and satisfying way. The Spa facilities were not up to our expectations since the main component, the Jacuzzi, wasn’t working on the day. It was a disappointment for us and all we received were tiny samples which are meant to be free samples anyway- we don’t feel we were compensated well enough, until we had to go out of our way to ask for something at the reception. Even then, we didn’t feel we were spoken to politely by the reception manager.
