First room was terrible, mattress sunk in the middle, staff great, swapped rooms, 2nd room great until we tried to shower, no hot water, assured it was fixed, 2nd night the same, no hot water, had to check out a day earlier as couldn’t cope with cold showers! Food not up to the normal standards, been staying at this hotel for over 7 years , something has defo changed, very disappointed. Staff tried to be helpful . Spacious room. Quiet. Good enough for a quick stopover but old lumpy beds (I had to use a folded up towel to stop the spring digging into my hip!) furniture tired. Bedding flat and heavy. Bathrooms clean and nicely decorated but noisy extractor fan. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was really nice. I wouldn’t stay again because of the mattresses, but all ther issues were minor.
