The Pierpont Inn used to be a great hotel in it's day but it's obvious that they are in desperate need of a remodel. However, parts were under construction so maybe that's what is happening. They told us the pool was heated but it was pretty cold. And there were no umbrellas around the pool area, so that made it hard to get out of the sun. Overall our room had a beautiful ocean view and it was clean and spacious.

For the breakfast, the first day, I did not see an attendant for about 20 minutes and there was need to fill the eggs and the milk. When she did arrive, I had asked if she would refill things. It took her a bit, but she did do it as far as feeling dog friendly. Everybody was very nice yet. There is only one area that they want the dogs to be at everywhere else else’s signs saying no docs so I did feel it was a little contradictory as far as saying, their dog friendly, but only on that one patch of grass.

Where do I start? This place is nothing like the photos. The historic middle section of the hotel is fenced off. You are really staying at an attached motel. Room was fine. Bed was comfortable. Staff was decent but did not tell us there was a grab and go breakfast for marathoners. I was told the place was purchased by Marriot so HOPEFULLY they will renovate everything. Sad property for now. Parking easy and breakfast good. Views okay but you are viewing over a noisy freeway.

Room was very basic but OK just to have a place to sleep. No housekeeping, and I guess you’re expected to be your own housekeeper.
