This might have been my worst hotel-experience in my entire life.
I book a room for 3 days a month in advance. I messaged the hotel that I will be arriving late for check-in. They answer me multiple times that their reception is closed at my arrival and I will have to use the check-in machine. The day before my arrival I respond to this message that I will arriving late so I will use the machine.
I arrive at the hotel and try to check-in using the machine. For 45 minutes I try to check-in using the info I got sent from the hotel. I tried calling their phone# but they were closed. I had no choice but no book a completly new room.
I wake up the next morning and go down to the reception. The person doesn’t speak english, not a word. For 30 minutes he tries to find my booking. Finally he found why he couldn’t find my booking, his colleague had CANCELLED my booking because I didnt check in the night before. At 06:00 in the morning....
I was so frustrated at this point, i had to use google translate to communicate with the person in the reception. So I just asked the person in the reception to fix my booking. This was the absolute final straw, they said they couldnt book me, that I had to do it online, and that i couldn’t get access to my room until 15:00 that day...
I just cant understand why they cancelled my booking, no message, no phone-call..NOTHING.
Extremely unprofessional and just horrible experience in general. I have so much more to write, but no letters left
