I was a little Leary driving into the lodge, especially once I was on the gravel road, but I have to say, my stay was one of the best experiences I had. From the beautiful pool, fantastic restaurant, and the best star gazing of my life. Everyone at the lodge was terrific, very friendly and accommodating. Thank you…. I can’t wait to come back, as it was also great proximity to Big Bend!

A beautiful view of rustic surroundings from our room and good restaurant close by. The road to get there though was 13 miles of acceptable paved surface but the final 3.1 miles was very rough unpaved dirt.

Definitely off the beaten path, which is what we enjoy. We woke up to no electric on our second morning, which was tough but fine. They have a small cafe on site, Terlingua for any other food is 30miles away, so arriving in the evening, the cafe was a great option. The pool was open an looked clean, but was temps were not in our favor to enjoy it. Nice property and very friendly staff.

Ron was very clean, updated and quiet. The view was amazing, best hotel bed i have ever slept in- they even give you more than enough pillows. Only thing i would recommend is better signs for finding the cabins at night, especially when checking in at night.
