Second time to stay here and unfortunately second time was not as good as first trip two years ago. Bed was hard, elevator was out on last day. It was convenient to our business but we may consider other options next time.

Comfortable, friendly & accessible stay

The employees were friendly, the bed was comfortable, the food was nice (the access to 24/7 coffee/tea/cocoa was sweet), and the location was perfect. The building is quite old, of course, the floors a little uneven, etc., and with its age came some issues with the a/c & heat (the fan had to run 24/7 and left us with dry throats in the am). We had a very prompt response with the friendly maintenance worker, but alas they weren't able to fix the issue during our two-day stay.

Excellent stay as always!

A super 4 night stay in beautiful Central Square of Keene, NH. Exactly the break this exhausted teacher needed for her April vacation. Walking distance to great restaurants and the Colonial Theater (saw a show, too!) The staff, without exception, is friendly, kind and helpful. I come here about twice a year to “get away” and have always enjoyed the amazing service, comfort to which you are treated at the Keene Fairfield.

The room that we had was on the 2nd floor overlooking the roof vents etc..when we asked to see if we could change the room they said they were fully booked. Will not go back again to that hotel. Very disappointed.

Ver Very Nice

This is really a nice place to stay. They are friendly the room was very clean and well maintained. The free breakfast was amazing with everything you could want. from hot and fresh eggs, sausage to cereals warm muffins, bagels and on and on. way better than We expected. Would defiantly stay again. Oh and right down town location.

Pretty mediocre although not actively terrible

The room was not great: very loud heater (although room still cold); asked about changing but no rooms available, no mechanic. Parking was confusing and inconvenient: email from hotel gave no actual directions, other than warning about parking tickets at metered parking; had to park in front with metered parking, then go inside to get permit, then drive around one-way system to park on upper floor of parking garage behind the hotel. Room a little threadbare: not many covers, although cold; furniture worn. Carpets not particularly clean anywhere, although hard in snow season. On the positive side: good hot water, close to decent coffee places. Basically overpriced & not particularly comfortable.

NO HOSPITALITY

This is a hotel that seems to have forgotten they are in the HOSPITALITY BUSINESS. The building is charming & in a great location. However, the front desk staff is HORRIBLE,. The only helpful and friendly person working there seemed to be the maintenance Engineer (who was helpful, & friendly). We arrived at 2pm... and our room was not ready (OK 3pm check-in). We asked if we could drop off our bags. "We don't usually do that" was the response. This was as friendly as it got. They did offer us a room that suddenly became available ... but one in which the HEAT did not work - we later found out that they knew this AND did not mention it (we ended up wth a space heater in the room)! This could be a really good hotel... but they need better staff/management ... and we strongly suggest at least one or 2 of the front desk staff take a shower and put on some clean clothes). This is sad. Untill they get a better team - RUN AWAY!!!
