The two nights stay was very relaxing and pleasing. The room in the original building was big and had that historic character. The bed was comfortable and everything you'd expect from a good hotel were there. The pools were nice but rather crowded, which is OK given how popular this resort is. The lobby was charming. Nice service and quick check-in and out. Self-parking was good.

We arrived well before check in time but this was no issue for the staff who checked us in immediately even arranging a room upgrade when we mentioned being on our honeymoon. The rom was spacious and clean with good amenities. The pool areas were well looked after and felt very clean and comfortable. We ate at the islands bar which was very easy going, nice food and great staff serving. Would recommend to anyone looking for a change of pace in a big road trip to relax for a few days.

The hotel was run down, the staff were not friendly at all except for the lady that checked us in. The pools are beautiful, but they weren't very warm. The town didn't have much going on, I feel that the whole area needs a bit of a revamp, but the hotel most of all.
