Stayed for the weekend and overall had a good experience. The staff was friendly, efficient, and very clear about the rules. They are serious about the non-smoking policy, which I appreciated because it keeps the place cleaner and more pleasant.
The building is older and a bit dated, but it was clean and well-kept. I did not notice any major deferred maintenance issues. The bathroom could use some fresh caulk and updating, but otherwise everything worked and the room was tidy.
The hotel was impressively quiet. Once I was in the room, it was as quiet as a church mouse, which made it easy to relax and sleep.
The bed was comfortable once you were in it, although the mattress edges were very firm. There are also metal tabs on the bed frame that keep the mattress from sliding, and if you sit down the wrong way they can catch the back of your leg and give you a pretty good surprise.
My only other complaint was the lack of blackout curtains. Once the sun came up, the room got bright quickly.
Overall: friendly staff, clean rooms, very quiet, just a little dated and in need of some small updates.
