Marriott standards? Was lacking a bit

Check-in went fine, however, when I got to the room, the desk wasn't completely cleaned, the toilet tissue was ripped (used to it being nice and folded), the tub had a few spots was either rusted or the glaze in the tub was peeling. There was a light switch for the ceiling light, however, there wasn't a light there, only lamps could be used. I requested another room as I wasn't sure the room had been properly cleaned. Once in the new room - same issue with the lights, in the living area, there was no light, could only use the light coming from the kitchen, which wasn't enough to read later in evening. The sinks in the bathroom had slow drain - in the bathroom as well as the kitchen. The floor didn't look vacuumed. I didn't take any pictures or anything, unsure if I would stay there again for these reasons. It was convenient for me and noticed that you can bring pets (by the signage) when walked in, and room had a bit of a stench, so maybe someone had a pet previously in room. If they would do a better housekeeping job, and get some lights in room, outside of the lamps, I will consider returning.

Hotel was clean , staff was friendly. However others staying there made our stay quite annoying. Kids running around up and down halls screaming. Adults up playing music partying until 5 am. Not pleasant.

Nice hotel for most part. But they have construction going on and and had scaffolding probably 20-30 ft up. After they were done for the day they just left it open no caution tape or anything stopping anyone from climbing it. God forbid a child doesn't see that and try to go for a climb, hope they get this taken care of soon.

The images online compared to the actual state of the rooms is terrible. I had to request a new room due to my first one being an absolute travesty, and the second one was barely better than the first but at least wasn't infested with ants. Neither room had half of some of the small luxuries shown in the images, and half the furniture that actually is in the rooms is so old and worn that most of it is falling apart. I had a table in both rooms that couldn't support putting anything on it because there was so few bolts left in either one. A weight room and a VERY cloudy pool no one seems to dare enter do not justify the price of the stay. I will not be returning.

Front desk Mark was awesome!! Very helpful and accommodating! Breakfast staff very friendly and helpful. Bedroom set up is lousy. Too close to bathroom where there’s no door to block lighting. Bathroom arrangement is horrible.Toilet is low enough for a young child to sit on. Sink and accessories outside bathroom makes it challenging. No shelves in bathroom to put clothing on. Just not an ideal set up in any way. Coffee maker had mold or something inside water area. Not the Marriott I used to know!!

No Towne Place Suites Warren, MI

The desk clerk was rude and more focused on whatever social media site she was on than doing her job. So much so that she charged my card over $400 for a reservation that was booked and paid on Hotels.com prior to my arrival. This hotel should be condemned. Our door didn't lock securely, the room was horrible. There was blood on the mattress and sheets, the room was horribly dirty, the bathtub/shower looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in years until they got our reservation. After reaching out to Hotels.com to complain and request that we be relocated the desk staff had the nerve to get an attitude.

Here are a few concerns I wanted to share: First, the indoor pool lacks a bathroom in the pool area, which means you have to leave and walk down a hallway. This creates a slippery situation, especially when you're managing three kids. It feels like a design oversight. Second, the room didn’t have any hand soap. I had to resort to using body wash to wash my hands, which isn’t ideal. Lastly, the layout of the newly renovated rooms seems poorly planned. The nice sofa bed is positioned on the same wall as the TV, making it impossible to watch TV comfortably from the couch. Overall, considering the price, the I would have expected a little better.

We had the suite next to the workout room and we heard music blasting at 4am, it sounded like it was a party. It was terrible. The remote batteries died and it’s unbelievable that they did not have batteries . At checkout no one asked about they stay so I didn’t even bother clearly they don’t care. The toilet had a leak. Imagine going to the bathroom at 4am since the blasting music woke us up and stepping in water. Disgusting!
