The room was actually quite clean and better than what I was expecting. They're not luxurious, but it was great, and the staff were friendly and very helpful too. The neighborhood was not the best (but it's central Merced, so it's not that bad relatively speaking) and it's close to the downtown shops and restaurants. This motel was convenient for me since I can walk to the Amtrak station for the bus to Yosemite National Park, and of course, the train.

The room was crawling with roaches. Homeless people in the hallways. Scary people walking around the property look like they were on drugs. The number was wrong so I couldn’t get refund although I was only there 2 hours instead of 4 days and hotels.com couldn’t reach them for refund. Area was super ghetto People trying to sell us drugs. Contractors parked in handicap spots. Overall awful experience

Great hotel for the location, OK rooms with nice beds, cable, TV and Wi-Fi, very friendly staff. Front desk staff was quick and efficient with a check-in. Denny's and McDonald's right next-door. And within walking distance of a lot more restaurants and entertainment.
