Staff was a little hostile in the beginning the way the office lady talks is like if she knew us for years very dry and confusing asking if we had checked our phones for instructions on how to get in to our room usually it’s pretty straightforward go in the office get a key card and with a greeting but this time it was definitely a different check-in experience other then the floors being a little dirty and some of the bathroom hardware falling off the walls it was good stay

The room is in need of an update. The carpet was visibly decades old. The air conditioner cycled every few minutes and was loud. The location is great, easy to walk most places. Its fine for a night, wouldn't stay longer.

The pictures look nothing like the actual rooms. Beds were awful, carpet is disgusting, surfaces were extremely dirty. We brought our dog and he pulled out a subway sandwich wrapper with the sandwich in it, out from under the bed(not ours). It’s clear the cleaning staff did not clean the room other than change the sheets. We had came back from a concert and didn’t see everything till it was too late to request a room change. 0/10 will never return. Very disappointing.

I've stayed in most of South Lake's "cheap" hotels over the years for 1-nighters between ski days, and this one was probably the best for the price. Spacious with a good bed and good shower. No frills, but thoughtful decorative touches made Trailhead feel fresh, mountain-y and welcoming.

Horrible place to stay at. Looks like it’s family owned but the office/check in desk is nasty and dirty. They keep a dog there as well. The staff who checked me in was extremely unhelpful. The checkout staff was a little better. The place stinks though and looks like people live in some of these rooms. One room had 2 cats some cars that did not move. Looked like apartments more than a hotel/lodging. Raccoons came because of all the mess due to people who live there. 100% do not recommend staying here at all. Save your money and your well being. Bunch of crackheads I think.

This is the cheapest hotel in town, and I understand the idea of “you get what you pay for,” but this property isn’t anywhere close to the 6.8/10 rating listed on Hotels.com. The hotel is in extremely poor condition and genuinely feels unsafe. The stairway is held together with duct tape, the second floor feels unstable, and the pool was drained and filled with flies. The shower curtain rod was rusted and barely attached, there was no window screen, and the room had old shag carpet that looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in decades. There was no coffee, no ice, and the check‑in desk area was chaotic and poorly maintained. It also appeared that some individuals were living on the property long‑term. The only positive note is that the staff members were friendly.
