not totally pet-friendly

This hotel is not fully pet-friendly. I reserved a room with 2 Queen size beds/suits. When I went to check in, the assistance manager, told me I was not allow the 2 Queen size beds/suits because I have a dog with me! I told him that I checked to make sure that this was a pet-friendly hotel. He insisted that it was but because I had a dog, I was not allowed be in the Queen size bed/ suits. However, I was allowed to have a room with 2 full size beds for my dog and myself. The room cost less but he refused to refund any difference or tell me how much the new room was because it was through a third party (Hotels.com).

Dirty and outdated

I've stayed at many hotels and this is one of the worst. Though the bed was comfortable, the hallways look like the carpets haven't been cleaned since the 80's. Showers look like they haven't been updated since the 80's. There are no plumbing regulators for the showers, so when you take one, you get cold then scorching hot water. There were dirty towels in the hallways. Cigarette smell came through the vent in the washroom, the furniture was not like the pictures in the listing. The chairs were old and ripped, the furniture scratched and peeling. The interior lock was falling off. They also have 'long-term' residents living on the 2nd floor of the hotel that are 'questionable'. I didn't feel safe. Will never stay again. Gross.

Très belle chambre, large, propre, de grands lits queen et lit fauteuil de deux place. Parfait pour accueillir une famille de cinq personnes. L'hôtel est proche des restaurants.

Not worth the money.

This hotel definitely needs some serious renovating done. Was not as clean as it could have been. We booked for two nights, Friday and Saturday, 22nd and 23rd August. Upon returning to our room Saturday, after attending a wedding, it was to find that the beds had not been made, no fresh towels, and obviously not cleaned. Stairs to second floor needed a good vacuuming. Very disappointing stay.

The lady at the front desk was awesome she was very accommodating friendly and helpful the hotel was great for the price and the area has lots of amenities the only thing I would have liked to have seen in some kind of review was letting us know that it is also a home for transients and homeless it's wonderful they offer the services and feed them breakfast but just a heads up would have been great breakfast time in the morning was quite busy at the buffet area didn't quite know where everyone was coming from in the seating is limited so it was hectic with people also coming in from the front door/ streets other than that the pool was great and well maintained along with the property

Had to wait at checkin, let a man go ahead of me and then spent 15 minutes figuring out their reservation. Looks like updating hotel, making rooms larger. Our bathroom was not clean and new sofa bed but unfortunately the mattress was still wrapped in plastic and we did not notice till quite late.

Good for the price

It was good for the price paid. The breakfast was very generous, swimming pool was great and staff are helpful. The bath shower head was not sufficient for me, bathing is the better option. The noise from the laundry or water usuage in the building was on through the night. I am a light sleeper so it was not so good for me. Overall the space met the needs of 5 members. Thank you for your service!

Compensation??

The trip was amazing, pool was great to have outside. On our last day, the fire caused all of our luggage (because we had to leave the room immediately) and belongings to be smoked filled. Compensation was NOT offered. This is the most ridiculous thing that happened and a generous offer of a free night/some money back from our trip would have been an “I’m sorry this happened” gesture.
