I did a late-night check-in, and the person in the office was pleasant. After that, things went downhill fast.
The room was warm, so I turned on the air conditioner. It worked, but was noisy and seemed to have just one speed -- high. If I wanted to hear the TV without upping the volume excessively, I had to turn off the A/C.
The entire motel seemed old and dinged-up, including my room.
The carpeting was dirty, one lamp was missing a lightbulb, and the other lamp had a shade that looked like it had been in a fight -- and lost.
The nightstand drawer had trash in it, and a previous resident's clothes were in a clothing drawer.
The smoke alarm was hanging from the ceiling by its wires.
In the bathroom, the toilet would frequently make noise because of an internal leak. I finally decided to turn it off between uses.
Stay here only if you have no other choice.
