The Pines Lodge was close to the lifts, we had a spacious room, the hot tub and pool were great, storing skis was easy, and dinner at Grouse Mountain Grill was really good!

The beds in the room were uncomfortable and mattresses need to be changed. Plenty of towels and the bathrooms were nice.

Staff is fantastic. Facility is definitely 4 Star. It’s not a Four Seasons but it was much better than the Ritz.

Beautiful property. Excellent place and I love the fact that they have transportation to beaver creek allá day. Also there is a ski area next to the main building. I really love the place. The only bad thing but it is not the place, it’s the town, all restaurants close pretty early for us. Around 9pm. So if you are hungry later than that time, you have to find something out or uber eats.

Im not one to leave teviewd but this time i had to. Our corner suite was right above thre front door. Every morning by 8 trucks would pull up and for an hour all you hear is reverse beeping of the trucks and loud noises . You cant control the room temptetute so if youre hot open the windows and hope you get it right . Walked in and out of the front door over a dozen times and no one talks to you or greets you.everyonr looks upset . The phone has a button for guest services but you have to leave a message but the concierge button works and they answer but if you go to the lobby and ask for a concierge they dont have one. And to top it off when we checked out i wanted a person to ask how our stay was so i can just let them know the things that we noticed but nope , just a balance due and have a good day.

We have been visiting pines lodge regularly since 1998 for ten to fourteen days every March. Like the location, food and the large corner rooms. The last years the hotel is starting to fall behind in maintenance and upkeep. Last year major issues with elevators and heating. This year we had real issues with hot water.
The manager did everything she could but the place start to be in need of major refurbishment and upgrade.

This resort was a perfect spot to unwind and relax after a beautiful day in BC.
Not only is Pine Lodging dog friendly, it’s one of the cleanest and closest hotels to mountain base. My family and I will be staying here ever time for our trips to Beaver Creek!

Service at the Pines has gone way downhill and is not at all commensurate with a five star. We asked the front desk to send maintenance for a loud fan in our room HVAC system and she gave us pushback saying there are no fans running during winter it’s all baseboard heat - really there is no airflow in a large commercial building? And the loud metallic fan I’m hearing is all in my head? She then suggested we just turn off the heat in our room and I asked wouldn’t that just turn off the baseboard heat not the fan and she said I don’t know. Super helpful. Maintenance never came. The bar is not open until 5 so you can’t get an apres drink at this ski-in/ski-out hotel. Even the Holiday Inn has a mini market with canned cocktails and beer for purchase. They put coffee out but it’s gone by 9am and when you notify them they say they’re really busy. None of this is the fault of individual staff, they are clearly poorly trained and possibly poorly treated such that they don’t care about their jobs and it shows. The Pines also hits you with an almost $60 (incl. tax) per night “resort fee” for the fax machine, gym, and other amenities that no one uses. So just know that none of the amenities listed on their website are free, they cost $60 extra. We used to love the Pines but will never stay here again and recommend you do the same.
