Great place! Across from the beach. The breakfast was good and the heated pool was a plus! Will definitely stay here again.

Fireside inn is one of the top tier hotels on Moonstone Beach, and for the surrounding area. The excellent views, room, and staff are what makes this place tops in my opinion. It’s also centrally located for dining options, walking along the beach, and Hearst Castle, of course. It’s a very short distance to Cambria.

10/10 Exceptional

Good room, comfortable bed, lots of towels, adequate breakfast pastries and coffee; we thought it is strange that the gas fireplace in the room puts out no heat.

10/10 Exceptional

Lovely place, wonderful location. Indoor seating for breakfast would be nice as the chairs and tables were wet in the morning. Breakfast staff was very unkind to a guest this morning.

10/10 Exceptional

Cozy little place right across the road from the ocean which you can hear if you're in a room at the front of the property. Nice board walk across the road to walk along the ocean with beach access every now and then down the bluff to the shore. A couple of nice restaurants within walking distance.

This is a lovely seaside motel. It’s clean and comfortable. We loved our ocean view room. We sat on our patio and enjoyed a bottle of local wine.

10/10 Exceptional

A lovely stay over the road to the pool. Smooth check in, a cosy inn and a nice warm outdoor heated outdoor pool and cosy shared lounge room with a fire to warm up by after a swim. Spacious, clean room with cozy beds, a fireplace and plenty of space for a family of four, would stay again

10/10 Exceptional

Great location. Just across the street from the beach boardwalk. Nicely landscaped, and comfortable room with a fireplace.
Verified review

8/10 Very good

The room was perfect and the location on the beach front is great. The breakfast is non-existent. A flask of coffee, cereal bars and one flavour of porridge pot to heat up was all that was on offer. Very disappointing on that front. Make plans to go elsewhere if you want a good breakfast to start your day. Otherwise it’s a great place to stay.

Nice clean rooms. Overpriced place. Breakfast is not even worth trying.

Great location. Clean, nice staff. Terrible water pressure, needed a full length mirror and a combination of feather and non feather pillows but overall great place.

Verified review

8/10 Very good

Staff was really welcoming and room was large and comfortable. Breakfast was very minimal but they had coffee. Location was beautiful and walking distance to restaurants.
Verified review

8/10 Very good

Breakfast was really disappointing and sparse for the number of guests in and out of the breakfast room. The room was incredibly poorly ventilated. Don’t need an A/C but definitely need better ventilation so the air can move. Even with the floor fan running it was super stuffy and uncomfortable unless the door was open all night. The ocean views, sounds and walk to the ocean were incredible. The room is nicely renovated and clean. The patio was extra nice, especially since the room was stuffy.

The stay was very good but needs improvement in breakfast. All the items that were served were very sweet….not good for people who have sugar issues.
