I booked this hotel two weeks before my arrival through this website. on my arrival date, they told me they have booking issue, so they are transfering me to another hotel. then the hotel i was transferred to isn't the same standard as the one i book, i wonder if hotel.com really did make it work....

I arrived to a shabby run down hotel which charges over £7 for parking (not made clear when booking). Whilst asking about this another guest at reception was asking for her room to be cleaned, another asking for a shower mat. I decided I did not want to stay in a dirty room, paying more than expected and have been advised I can be refunded. I went to another hotel instead.

Staff were friendly enough. Very money orientated. Car park you have to pay for. Shower pressure not very good. No tea or coffee or milk available in the room. Poorly decorated and dirty in the corridor areas. The towels didn’t smell very nice either. Food was good but very expensive. No sides with my mail meal as stated on the menu. The did give me sides eventually as I asked. I won’t be going again.

Called by the hotel on the afternoon I was due to check-into to inform me that my stay was being cancelled (2 nights) due to there being no hot water or heating. So I ended up booking 2 nights elsewhere but have been charged for the stay with no indication of a refund being issued.

The room was dirty,previous occupant had used the bath with purple shampoo left all over the wall,old tissues on the floor and under the desk was full of fuff and dust never cleaned, the shower hel was an empty bottle with no lid or pump just fastened to the wall and the tea tray look dirty with no tea spoons. I complained at reception and the receptionist said while I had been out it had been sorted, the dust under the table had gone and the shower gel filled but nothing else..

Internet almost didn’t reach the room. Staff were rude and appeared to have friends sat in the lobby, the first room I was given had visibly not been visited by house keeping as towels and old key card were out and the bed was a mess. When I got to the new room the chair was missing an arm and had wood protruding from where the arm would be attached and there was some kind of food smudged up the inside of the door. Terrible, nothing like the photos, as the room cleanliness was so poor I chose not to risk using the gym or pool.
