Classic old fashioned motel layout, which makes getting your luggage into the room easier. But the room and bathroom have been updated, making it a comfortable place to stay. If you have a car to park, this is the perfect place to stay in Albuquerque — the hotel only charges $10 a night for a space in a capacious surface lot located next to the old town area.

This is the old Garrett's hotel. It is very clean and convenient to the Plaza and great restaurants. When you see its reasonable price, recall that you get what you pay for. No breakfast. No water bottles beyond the two complimentary ones. No free parking anymore. Santa Fe is expensive so taking a ho hum room near the Plaza at a relatively decent price isn't a bad deal.

The person who registered us sent us to the wrong end which meant a long walk with our luggage. If not a map, then making sure staff is aware of the location of the rooms is important. A fan for the bathroom would also be nice.

El Sendero Inn is very convenient to the old town area of Santa Fe. It's an easy walk to the plaza, Palace of the Governors, Basilica of St. Francis, restaurants, and shops. The hotel itself is okay--clearly a converted budget motel, so nothing fancy. But it was fine, the room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and it was quiet when we stayed in early April. Check-in was easy and staff was friendly, professional, and helpful. Would definitely recommend.
