Family stop in Galway

We were pleasantly surprised at how nice and clean this place was and seemed to have been recently updated. Although a little away from the main part of town it was a great place with super friendly staff and dog friendly which was important for our friends we travelled with. Was well worth the price.

It was a comfortable stay. The room was large and the bed was comfortable. The staff was great — very helpful and friendly.

Close, but far enough.

Easy walk to the city center, but far enough away from traffic and the noise. Lovely service and clean, comfortable room. Highly recommend if you need a place to stay outside or guesthouses.

Really nice hotel! Rooms were terrific and very clean with big comfortable beds. Unfortunately it was a bit far from the city center, so it was a 20 minute walk to go anyplace. We took the bus on two occasions, and the bus stop was 2 blocks away. I would definitely stay here again but would budget for a taxi to get back and forth to the city center.

Better than average Travelodge.

This was a much better Travelodge than others we have stayed in. Staff were helpful. The room had a double and single bed in it, so it was rather cramped, even for two of us. The coffee machine was a bonus. It was quite a walk into town for a hotel named ‘City Centre’.

A nice surprise from travelodge!

I've stayed in travelodge hotels before and been rather disappointed by the lack of recent room and public space renovations. This hotel was a pleasant surprise! Nice, comfy room, good bathroom, usable public spaces. I'd especially like to praise their team member Jesus who went to a lot of trouble to fix an electrical socket issue we were having.

The Travelodge was a safe and affordable choice in Galway. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to town on very busy sidewalks.

Obviously you are not in the center of town when staying at this hotel but it is not a long taxi ride to get there. It is a very basic Travelodge and so it offers very basic service. The staff are lovely and the rooms clean but it is basic.
