The motel was fine for our 1 night stay. The man who checked us in was super slow. We were the only ones checking in and it took us 22 minutes from the time he started to help us, until we received our room keys. It was just weird. He never smiled. Unfortunately, when you're received like that, it makes for a bad 1st impression.

The inn was simple but clean and effective. It is next to a bar and a restaurant (one of which is my favorite in San Clemente) so its great for if you need somewhere clean and nice to stay.

Disgusting place

Room was filthy. Cannot use the tub for a bath (cracks and a sign saying you will be charged $250 cleaning if you use as a bath because the tub leaks). Walls were falling apart. Microwave was filthy with food. Grime and dust everywhere (see videos). Dirt and hair in the drawers. Floor level windows in the bathroom and lower neighboring building with a view to the upstairs room (creepy and invasive). Unfriendly desk clerk. I posted an initial negative review and shortly after posting my room key mysteriously deactivated, forcing me to go to the office to reactivate where I was asked by the clerk to remove the negative review.only after I said OK (I was in a hurry to get to my concert) was I given the key back. Get there too late and you dont get a parking spot. There is exposed electrical in the bathroom with no fan. Shower head is nearly chest level (I’m 5’11”) cracks in the bathtub. Hard mattress. Even harder pillows. Thin felt-like blankets. The pictures and videos paint the picture. This place is a disgusting ripoff for nearly $300 per night. Never again. Spend your money elsewhere is my advice. Terrible!
