What a delightful surprise! The Salina turned out to be my favorite hotel on the trip. Parking was easy, safe and free. Checking in was a breeze. The room was spacious, clean and very modern. This is a wonderful, and seemingly brand new property. The staff were super friendly and the room as well as the facilities were clean and everything worked well. The breakfast buffet is excellent. The pool is wonderful and offers a great view. There is ample free parking. The only challenge is that the immediate neighbourhood really offers nothing of interest. One needs a car to go into the city; there is nowhere to walk to. But otherwise, a great place.

I stayed for a week. The hotel was nice, but required a €20-40 taxi fare to get into town, winery, or beach (one way). It was not walkable (we tried, but the hotel is in the middle of a highway). The front desk staff was varied in their grasp of English - sometimes they were extremely helpful and other times wires really got crossed because of the language barrier. They answered questions/requests by email and phone both very quickly. The housekeeping and bar/restaurant staff were A . The hotel also had free wifi, but it required frequent re-signing in, and sometimes it went out altogether. There were several USB charging ports in the room, which was very helpful.
