The hotel is an updated motel. It's clean and the location is really good But no real amenities and only tea and coffee in the morning. The water for tea was luke warm and the milk was off. I went to trader joes close by and grabbed some juice and on the drive home grabbed some caffeine! okay for a quick overnight in LA, if you are staying any longer I would get a different place.

Very nice hotel. The rooms are nice and keep with the theme of Short Stories by having books throughout the room. Nicely decorated and clean. The location is everything! Within walking distance of shopping, food and entertainment. Its directly across the street from The Grove and farmers market. Trader Joes and Wholefoods are a 5 min walk from the hotel. The only complaint is the parking situation. No free parking, only valet parking available on property which is $45 a night.
