The pillows in the pods were the worst I have ever seen or felt. I took off the pillow case and they were stained and yellow under the pillow case. Without exaggeration, they were the most uncomfortable pillow I have ever felt. They were lumpy, hard and uneven. I had to fold the sheet/duvet into a 12” square and use that as my pillow. Luckily the air conditioning in pod area was not adequate so I didn’t need that sheet.

Pros: clean facility with a nice common area and amenities for hanging out. Great showers with good water pressure. Cons: bedding looked dirty under the cover sheet, mattress not comfortable, below average pillows, only one plugin in cabin, occasionally rude people at service desk. Good if you are low on funds and need a place to crash, but I left feeling meh after a 2 day stay.

Great location. Lots of food options on the street. 2 minute walk from train station. 15 minute walk to the heart of Shinjuku. Capsules were clean, comfortable and modern. Showers and toilets were all clean. Lockers were adequate size for storage. Great view from the lounge. Free drinks, pajamas, toiletries as well was a nice touch. Great place to stay.

I’ve stayed here on many different visits. Rembrandt Cabin Shinjuku offers convenient location, amenities, and a safe spot to rest. It’s popular with both locals and solo travelers. Another bonus is the common space is large and offers drinks (coffee/teas) with amazing views of Tokyo! I’d stay again!

Looks cool, but bad beds

The place looks cool, and I was happy to try a capsule hotel. However I had the worst two nights of sleep, since the mattress was very thin, duvet also thin and pillow very hard. On day 2, i asked for another blanket in the reception, which did make my sleep a bit better. So the possibility to have that is good. It does not seen like a hostel where you socialise, so it is more for people that just need a place to sleep. There was free coffee, which was nice. I did find the personel a bit less friendly than other hotels. I had the feeling that they thought I was a bit annoying.
