On my first night there I noticed what appeared to be bed bug dirt on the seam at the end of the bed. I asked the nightshift desk associate who let me know the manager would be there in the morning, but that we couldn’t move rooms because they were all full. I was very concerned, and spoke with who I think was the manager in the morning. She told me approximately three years ago that “a bunch of Haitians” (her words) stayed there while working at a factory up the road. She said they brought bed bugs, and while some of the beds had been replaced, some had just been treated and that there may be stains left over. I wanted to believe that but I was paranoid the rest of my stay. When I got home I washed and dried everything and just prayed there were no bugs. Additionally, the bed was extremely stiff and uncomfortable.

Concerns

The room was okay, although there was popcorn in the corner of the room that housekeeping must have missed from the previous guest. The entrance on the right side of the building had the key card reader broken, and the door was propped open with rocks - in other words, anyone could enter unannounced. We took out the rocks, only to see them back the next morning. This is a security issue that needs addressed. The breakfast area lacked cleanliness.

It was ok

The wifi was terrible using my tablet. The shower head was black molded. The fan in the bathroom did not work at all. The fridge had no shelf in it. The coffee was horrible. The staff wasnt super friendly but not rude. Obviously in renovations. Amazon boxes every where. Our room apparently used to be a smoking room with the burn stains and the old smoke smell. The beds were not the worst but it did hurt my hips. Not the worst hotel but for the price it should have been better. I reported these things at the end of our stay because since we was in town for an event i did not discover them till the end of the night. Splattered paint residue on alot of things. I wish them the best of luck. But i would consider lowering the rates a bit considering the condition and state of the hotel and rooms. Water pressure in the shower was really bad. Over all the room was do able. But im not happy over the room price considering the condition.

I reserved 3 rooms for my family and I. The carpet made our socks black, there was mold, the bathrooms were gross. The sheets were terribly stained and there was debris like leaves in the bed. Oh and the staff was RUDE and very u helpful.

Smoke Detector Fiasco

For a small visit to see and be with family, I would say it’s worth it. Decent breakfast and lobby area. However, the staff’s conduct was below average. On our first night, a smoke detector had went off on our floor. A staff member came to our room stating that we triggered it. Our detector was not going off or flashing any color to indicate otherwise. Then the staff members stated she “actually had no idea where it originally came from.” The second night it happened, a different staff member insisted that we were smoking/vaping in the room. We invited the staff into the room to self-assure this wasn’t the case, and we wanted to make sure this detector was working properly. But they declined and continued to lecture us. Overall; the staff could use a training on their hospitality. But the hotel itself is nice, and under-going renovation. I can see it improving once these projects are done.

The fact that they had hired painters touching things up during our stay wasnt bad until you find out that they allowed the painters into your room while you were away and the painters failed to even shut your door securing the room after they left. The exercise room was being used for storage full of all sorts of things and unusable. Lady during check out was rude when asked about each just saying thats just how it is.

Morning desk clerk not friendly or courteous

The morning desk clerk was rude. She yelled at someone in the breakfast room for looking in a cabinet for more choices for cereal as there weren't many options for food. It was like we were bothering her in general. Overpriced rooms. Mine was not fully furnished. Won't stay there next time.

The room was clean. The clerk at the front desk didn't give us a receipt to get a security deposit back. Kids ran up and down the halls for hours. The smoke alarm went off in the building. Definitely not a quiet trip as hoped.

The staff at front desk was amazing. Very nice. I have two wild ass toddler boys 3&1 and they handled them very nicely. Understood sometimes their loud and scream the top of their lungs for ten mins for no reason.
