低调而温馨的酒店

这个酒店距离海边有点远，房间只有电扇没有空调。但是这个酒店给我的感觉很温馨，一点也不闷热，房间还配备了电热水壶。整个酒店犹如一幢大大的别墅，有一种家的感觉。第一天抵达酒店时，负责check in的女士居然将自己的车位让给我，令我非常感动。

It was honestly a great place to stay. The location is very central, close to the ocean, and the staff were extremely friendly throughout my visit. The food served was also excellent, and I was pleasantly surprised to receive a complimentary room upgrade. The overall atmosphere was fantastic. I would especially like to thank Ryan, Gavin, and the valet, who was incredibly helpful in answering all of my questions.

Our room was very clean. Good location, an easy walk to shops, restaurants and Santa Monica beach. The staff was friendly and helpful. The building is old, and definitely needs more updating (at least in the room we had). There’s a nice little patio area, the lobby is neat and welcoming, with a fireplace and nice sitting areas. Free basic coffee in the morning(a nice perk) with small cafe items/limited breakfast for a fee. You can tell this hotel is trying! Here’s the downside: it’s old, and our room was on the first floor and we heard everyone up above. Showers were noisy, people using the stairs and coming in & out of rooms—-could be quite loud. We could even hear folks in the lobby and office from our room. If you’re a light sleeper or used to quiet hotels, probably not good place for you, at least on the first floor. While the room we had did have plenty of space, the furnishings didn’t make the most of it. No luggage racks or benches for luggage, the room certainly could’ve fit a king bed easily, but the queen we had was old and not a comfortable mattress. The pillows were really flat—-please update these at the least! And our room was really dark, we had a nice sized window too, but the old sconces just did not cut it. Definitely need additional lighting especially in the bathroom. On our final night at the hotel, while we’re trying to get to sleep for an early morning flight, the ceiling in our bathroom stated leaking—a lot! Right near the light fixture.
