I stayed one night. I arrived 45 minutes before check-in time of 3pm. The front desk staff told me it would be a $35 early check-in fee. I realize that is becoming common among hotels for revenue is not really something to complain about. However, the hotel was not busy with no more than 4 cars in the parking lot. The room was ready and available. I just did not get a warm welcome from the front desk who just asked for the $35 dollars for early check in without any explanation. It took me a few seconds to understand what was going on. I said I guess I will just wait 45 minutes and they just looked at me, no response. Upon returning 45 minutes later, still no one else at the hotel, continued the unfriendly welcome. I don't know, it just didn't feel comfortable. I don't expect a red carpet or anything but it was an odd interaction both times. The evening front desk staff was much friendlier, the rooms were clean, price was better than most other hotels in the area. The bed linens were clean but were not enough to keep you warm if you know what I mean. Breakfast was typical but it was a very clean eating area. The unfriendly front desk staff was there in the morning and made me uncomfortable again though. So odd visit for me.
