No hot water

My bathroom had poor water pressure and no hot water, even after 15+ minutes of trying. Upon informing the desk staff of the issue, while I was checking out, I received a confused look as if I had done something wrong, and no acknowledgement/apology for the inconvenience. Will not return.

A charming getaway

The hotel is very conveniently located! Friendly staff, spacious room made for a nice stay. The elevator is quite small and dated and it could use some remodeling, but it’s charming and I would stay there again in a heartbeat ❤️

Convenient, no frills, affordable

This was convenient to what we were doing but was no frills. Front desk was very friendly and helpful, room was clean with a comfortable bed (minimal amenities - no mini fridge or coffee maker). Water pressure was poor and took the shower a long time to get hot. Only two small, well-worn elevators, and hotel was very noisy. On second night, a woman was yelling somewhere in the hotel and other guests were yelling at her to be quiet (in Italian which was a nice touch). This was an affordable option but I wouldn't stay again.

Underwhelming

Loud.

Unfortunately there was a gas leak so the NYC department of public works was drilling and hammering and fixing that ALL NIGHT LONG right under our window. We did not sleep at all that night. I know it was not their fault but an apology would have been nice. No one seemed to really care when we checked out in the morning. One elevator was out of order, too, so we climbed the stairs to get to our room on the fourth floor.
