The hotel was nice, some areas need repairing and some paint but overall it was a good stay. The evening meal menu had changed compared to their website which was inconvenient but the food was really nice especially the breakfast.

We had a pet friendly room overlooking the harbour. It was a good size and ample for our two dogs. Some of the furniture is now a little tired, but the bed was comfortable. The reception staff were very helpful and gave our dogs lots of fuss and attention. The restaurant team in the evenings was exceptional. They couldn’t do enough for us. Accommodated us at short notice and even repositioned us so we could watch the sun set. The food was fantastic. The team at breakfast were far less welcoming and a little more care was needed when cooking. We had overcooked bacon and eggs.

The view of the harbour is why you stay here and it doesn’t disappoint- just stunning. Locals and visitors flock to the outside terrace to enjoy a cocktail overlooking the harbour. We ate at the restaurant and both food and drinks were good but our dinner order was misplaced so we waited 75 minutes between starter and main. As an apology we weren’t charged. The room looked a bit tired and in need of a refurb but it was clean and the bed was comfy. We also had a view of the harbour (free upgrade). Staff was friendly but service is a bit chaotic - the staff lack set routines and need some training. The breakfast was tasty.

Fantastic place for sundowners on the patio, magnificent view over the harbour. Not so nice to carry drinks outside to table down steps, with waiters stood around doing nothing.

When we first pulled up the hotel was not much to look at but honestly, what a lovely surprise once inside. The restaurant, the terrace overlooking Poole harbour and the rooms were all very spacious (we had 3 rooms)

6/10 Good

Came into bar in evening despite 3 members of staff behind the bar with only myself and partner waiting to be served it took over ten minutes to be served because they were to busy talking between themselves. When we were served no apology for keeping us waiting or anything. Had drink decided to go to another pub. Breakfast. We came into the restaurant and waited to be seated gentleman said sit down wherever you want. I would of thought we would have been at least shown to a table or am I expecting to much for the price. Get better service at a travelodge. Very nice room though very comfortable. Unfortunately wouldn’t come to this hotel again.

Really nice stay. Room very comfortable, great view, lovely bathroom with spa bath, healthy breakfast. We weren't impressed by the dinner menu on offer so went elsewhere. The hotel has fab views but I found it to be a bit drafty in the restaurant and lounge areas
