Staff was nice.I had check in issues that lasted over an hour to get checked in to my room. Troy only has a few places to stay, we were here overnight for a Softball camp. The property is clean on the outside, front desk very nice, breakfast was good, rooms ok. Lamps had alot of dusk on them, both beds had this metal piece sticking out, but one was just way worse than the other. Room nice size. Hot Water issues on Sunday when getting ready to check out, fixtures had rust stains and tub has some rust stains also.The breakfast was above average bacon, omelets, waffles, etc... Stayed here a few Months ago and had a different room that was renovated, updated and also smelled fresh/clean. This stay we had a room that was so heavily scented with something and the lingering scent of stale/old was hard to miss. The shelves appeared to be barely hanging off the wall in the bathroom but the space was clean and very usable. The staff was all very pleasant and responsive. The cafe seating are could use an update or refresh as cushions and seating was broken down and difficult to get up from - even for young travelers.

We only stopped by for a night. Most likely just an oversight by housekeeping, but the carpet was wet in front of the refrigerator. Was going to mention it on it way it but there was nobody at the desk at that moment. But the lady in charge of breakfast that morning? ... What an absolute dear! I believe her name was Joyce. Very friendly without being overbearing. She simply wanted to make sure we were happy that if we needed anything at all, to please let her know. If I find myself on the way back from Arkansas needing a place to stay again, I will most likely stop here
