6/10 Good

The criterion is a budget hotel but in a convenient location and perfectly adequate for a short stay over. The staff are always pleasant and helpful. Nothing to rave about, it's a bit worn out,but the location, as mentioned before, is very central and handy. We use it as a stop over when flying interstate for work. It's hard to find a cheap hotel in the city. It's a good place if on a budget. Priced well for what it is.

Such a lovely old art deco building, but what a shame it was looking soo tired. Room was clean but the whole thing looked soo run down. The restaurant below was closed down and the whole place looked like it was shut. Great location though

Very close to Malls and very central. I picked a room not done up so I got what I paid for. Was clean in room
Verified review

6/10 Good

Room was not very clean; there was old dust on the TV and carpet could do with a wash. The bathroom sink tap was leaking. There was a grumpy, snappy staff in the evening but a lovely, friendly one in the morning. The location and price were the best features as it's right in the city centre. There's no parking but we didn't need one.
