We left the residence earlier than planned despite having paid in full, because the apartment was absolutely uncomfortable and unsuitable for a stay with a newborn.
The accommodation was advertised as renovated, but in reality it was very old. The mattress was worn out and uncomfortable, the kitchen was outdated, the fridge door did not close properly, and the pans were excessively used and in poor condition.
The bathroom was particularly problematic: there were no shelves or towel holders, the shower holder was broken and could not support the shower head, water spilled everywhere during use, and although the ventilation was supposedly checked, it was barely working. This created a damp, mouldy atmosphere that felt unsafe to breathe, especially with a newborn.
Regarding baby facilities, the crib provided was a camping bed suitable for toddlers, not a proper newborn crib, and there was no changing table available. These are basic necessities when travelling with an infant and were completely missing.
Parking was also poorly managed: although there was space available, two large SUVs were parked next to each other in a way that made entering and exiting extremely difficult, particularly when handling a newborn and baby equipment.
This experience was a major disappointment. We have stayed at Pierre & Vacances residences before and had very different expectations based on past experiences. Unfortunately, this stay did not meet basic comfort, safety, or quality standards.
