Overall, this was a mixed experience.
Check-in took way longer than it should have, which was frustrating after a long day of travel. The front desk staff unfortunately came off as disorganized and a bit rude, which didn’t make a great first impression.
That said, most of the rest of the staff were amazing. A special shoutout to Ricardo at the bar/food service—hands down one of the nicest and most accommodating people I’ve ever met. Truly made a difference in our stay.
The food was absolutely amazing, definitely a highlight. The pool was also incredible, but there were public swim lessons being held there during our stay. It made it difficult to fully enjoy since we had to be mindful of children who weren’t even hotel guests, which felt a bit odd.
As for the room, there were a few ants—but considering the hotel is in the middle of the woods, it wasn’t entirely surprising. I only saw about three over a four-night stay, so it wasn’t a major issue.
All in all, some definite highs and lows—great food and standout service in some areas, but improvements are definitely needed at the front desk and with overall organization.
