Beyond cute

I stayed in the Chatsworth Ensuite room while away on business and it was such a refreshing change from a tired, soulless room in a hotel chain. The bathroom is beautiful and I left disappointed I couldn't stay longer to make use of the enormous bathtub. Homely touches like candles and real milk for a coffee means I hope this room will be available next time I travel. Clear instructions are provided ahead of your arrival for a seamless check in. To top it off, it was a fraction of the price of where I've stayed before. I loved it!

Beautiful place and friendly owner

Nigel communicated well with me prior to arrival, ensuring I was clear on everything, and supplied clear instructions by email. He showed me to my room which was beautiful and decorated to a high level. It had all the usual amenities and a fridge where he'd provided fresh milk. Bathroom was opulent and clean, with luxurious towels. I'd definitely stay again.

Great stay.

Really comfortable stay. Great communication from Nigel. Rooms are well appointed and the beds are super comfortable. I regularly stay in Derby for business and I seek this place out. There are some great pubs nearby for food, Nigel is happy to make recommendations. Unfortunately, Borrowfield Lodge does not offer breakfast, unless requested well in advance.

Had a delightful stay at the luxurious Borrowfield Lodge. Communications from proprietor Nigel excellent, given good exact directions, Had control of gate by own phone. He made Us very welcome. Room decor and comfort exceptional. Everything was perfect including breakfast. Thank you

Great Place....

The pictures don't do the place justice, the location is great and its minutes walk into Borrowash for shops and pubs etc and only a few minutes drive into Derby. The place is quiet and very clean and well maintained, secure and welcoming. Theres only three rooms so its not overly busy and the parking is very secure with a phone controlled gate on entry and exit to the property. The rooms are spacious, well equipped with a fridge, kettle, TV and a bathroom (I think one room has a separate bathroom but its next door to the room and you don't have to walk past Pride Park to get there). Theres also a larger sitting room downstairs for you to use in front of a large cosy fire and large table so if you want to take a laptop and work you can. Finally the owner is very friendly and welcoming and can't do enough for you. I would highly recommend this place and will be back when next in the area.

Liked privacy, quiet, clean, list of places to eat, Nigel was very helpful with our difficult overseas payment. Being from rural area it was difficult understanding security but destails were very good, just our lack of ability. I did get locked in bathroom at 3 a.m. as when I tried to get out as the lock fell out of the door handle. After trying to phone my husband as I used the phone as a torch, I ended up knocking on the adjoining wall. He finally woke up and came and opened door - it waas funny as it reminded me of when my mother in law had similar issue when she stayed at our house in the USA - payback for laughing at her! FYI vent inbathroom does not seem to work and could not open window so steam collected. Lovely place and not as noisy as a hotel.
