Peaceful Stay

If you're looking for a place to rest and unwind, Casa 1800 does not disappoint. I found it to be so peaceful and relaxing. My room had the volcano view. I chose this hotel to stay for the first few days of my trip to El Salvador because I wanted to do the Santa Ana Volcano hike. If you're into hiking, staying here puts you right at the trails. My room was clean and spacious, bed was comfortable. It does get a little chilly at night and in the morning, but by midday, it heats up to a nice comfortable temperature. The hotel has one restaurant. Food was decent, traditional breakfast is included. Staff is nice, although many do not speak English, so if you speak a little Spanish, that's a plus. Just know, outside of the hikes available, there is not much else to do. So if you are looking to explore more areas, you should book an excursion. All in all, it was a very relaxing stay. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The rooms are beautiful and the staff is wonderful. They contacted us by what's app before check in which was so useful! We communicated again by what's app when they were arranging a transport for us. The food was delicious and fresh. If you're going to climb santa Ana , it's the perfect base. Jist a 2 minute walk to the entrance and great vendors located there also. I cannot recommend it enough! The only 2 negatives were that the shower water was only Luke.warm and we smelt a sewage smell whenever we closed the bathroom window

Very disappointed. We booked 2 rooms, 1 facing the volcano and 1 facing the forest (201&101). Both had a horrible smell we thought it as bug spray. Apparently, someone had plugged the water drains in the shower due to the smell. We didn’t know this and only found out after stepping out of the shower and noticing water had flooded the bathroom and parts of the bedroom. It was after 9pm and the hotel lobby was closed, so we had to clean up the mess. No help until the next day. The hotel staff didn’t acknowledge the inconvenience cause and didn’t offer to refund our terrible stay or any discounts. In addition, the room facing the volcano had a lot of bugs, hence why we all thought the smell was bug spray, the smell was coming from all the drains in the bathrooms. The staff said it was sulfur from the volcano.

We would absolutely stay again!

Beautiful hotel! It’s so modern and well kept. The foliage was spectacular and the volcano view was unforgettable. The weather was cooler and a nice break from the heat and humidity. We enjoyed the full made to order breakfast that was from 8-11am and included nearly the entire breakfast menu. The room itself was 2 queen beds and a living room area. The slider opened with a backyard available to hang out in. The bathroom was small but just fine. The only suggestion would be to include screens on either the windows or the slider or both. We were a little warm and couldn’t really keep the window open to air the room out without letting a few bugs in. A screen door or window would’ve fixed that. The restaurant was hit or miss with other meals but the parillazo was delicious and plenty of food. Room service was available for meals and we took advantage of that. The first night we walked down to the stands and did a little shopping and ate dinner there. The food was delicious and much more affordable. Make sure to go earlier than later as food starts to run out.
