I recently stayed at this vintage boutique hotel, and it was a total delight. Tucked away on a quiet street, the hotel had a faded elegance that made me feel at home right away. Directly behind Frenchmen Street, it is within walking distance of some of the best jazz spots and a few good eateries.

Lamothe is close to ALL the action: Frenchmen, French Market, Bourbon st, canal for public transportation. The pool is open all night for an even dip. And the staff is wonderful! Nothing is too much trouble for them.

Good location! The property is outdated, I get the old vibe and it’s nice, but they should add practical appliances like microwave and mini fridge to the rooms. And the air conditioning should be fixed or changed for a bigger unit because the it does not cool enough, especially like the big room we stayed in.

This property was the perfect location, exactly between the French Quarter and Frenchmen Street. We walked for everything - food, entertainment, etc. The historic building is charming and beautiful. Our stay at Lamothe House was actually in one of the rooms on Kerlerec St. and we had our own front porch. The hotel is beautiful, conveniently located to the French Quarter. Our room was clean and comfortable. The price for the room was great which made up for paying $40/day for secure parking.
