Our stay at Hotel Cour St-George in Ghent was a nightmare from the moment we entered the room. After arriving in the room, I had seen reviews on Google mentioning bedbugs, so I specifically asked the reception about this upon arrival. I was assured — very confidently — that this was impossible and “an issue from the past.” Unfortunately, that was completely untrue. After checking the bed, we found three clearly visible bedbugs in our bed. This completely ruined the start of our holiday. We had to wash and clean all of our clothes immediately, deal with the stress of possibly bringing bedbugs with us, and find somewhere else to sleep late at night. The woman running the place — an older Dutch lady — was extremely rude, dismissive, and unhelpful throughout the entire situation. We were offered no assistance whatsoever in finding alternative accommodation. We were essentially left on the street on our first night and had to book another hotel at double the price. To make matters worse, we only received a refund for the room the next day, and we had to go back ourselves to get it. No apology, no accountability, and no concern for the situation they put us in. I am honestly shocked this place is still allowed to operate. If you value cleanliness, basic respect, or peace of mind, stay far away

the personal is really super lovely, waited for me even though I arrived late. The rooms are with old town charisma, clean and the personal tried to make the stay really pleasent. Its super central and you can reach all the nice sights and places just in a minutes walking distance. perfect location!

Très bien située pour les visitdes de la ville. Ce n'est pas un hôtel 5 étoiles mais c'est très bien. Un bémol, les serviettess et le détecteur de mouvements de la salle de bain qui allume la lumière et fait démarrer le ventilateur et s'arrête après un moment; en pleine nuit, c'est très désagréable.

Bedbugs The location was perfect. The rooms ok, and strangely interestingly decorated. But i obly stayed half a night due to waking up to several bedbugs of different stages. I was offered a new room, but i am very glad i didnt take it, when it was clear when finding other recommendations on for example google reviews that this hotel has known they have bedbugs in several of their rooms for months. I checked out during the night, and the resepsjonist didnt know if i could get a refund. Luckily i did get a full refund through Hotels.com (which was a bit difficult to find ways to contact them). I later made claims from the hotel through hotels.com to cover at least the added cost of the new place i had to book the same night suring a weekend in a popular city. That was expensive to say the least. Hotels.com does not offer this, so it was up to the hotel. The hotel refused. I hmgave them the oppurtunity to apologize and to accomodate the whole added cost or the difference. They took it as a threat, because i said i would make other travelers aware of the state of the place. I would of course do this anyways, but with the added note that all they dod was "regret the inconvenience". My inconvenience include: - staying at the train station from 3 am to 8am before the only avaliable hotel opened their reception - freezing and steaming all my clothes through several steps the next place i stayed - risked spread to other hotels and my home with great economic consequences

I really enjoyed my stay here, the hostess was the kindest and funniest staff i have ever encountered across all my stays in any hotel. It is right in the city center as well, you can just get out of the hotel to visit the important sights of the city.

Odorats sensibles, fuyez!

Entre les odeurs d'égoûts et les 3 désodorisants serveur WC pour tenter de camoufler ces odeurs pestilencielles, nous nous endormons avec la nausée et repartons avec nos vêtements imprégnés! D'autre part aucune indications pour nous garer dans le pass, et ne comptez pas sur l'accueil pour vous renseigner car le téléphone est volontairement décroché pour ne pas déranger la demoiselle de l'accueil!! Ne parlons pas de la propreté du sol, et des multiples insectes écrasés au mur. A fuir!
