Our stay got off to a very poor start. We were assigned a room that had not been cleaned, with rubbish from the previous guests still scattered around. A cleaning staff member apologized and said a manager would come up to take us to the “correct” room, but no one came. We were later told to return to the lobby with our heavy luggage.
When we finally met the manager, she claimed she had been waiting for us upstairs and showed little apology for the incident.
The replacement room was on a low floor facing the inside of the building. While the room itself was bright as there are sufficient lightings, the natural lighting was limited. The bed was uncomfortable, with one side noticeably sunken, causing back pain — I had to use towels to level it. The room was also stuffy, and I had to borrow an electric fan from reception.
The only bright spot was the night‑shift staff member, who was genuinely helpful and understanding.
