A sleepless summer nightmare

I stayed at this hotel during the peak of summer, and unfortunately, it was one of the most uncomfortable experiences I’ve had while traveling. **First and foremost, the air conditioning was broken**—a critical issue when temperatures were high. The room felt like a sauna, and despite people posing multiple complaints to the front desk, no effective solution was offered. To make matters worse, the hotel is located right next to a **cruising street where cars blast loud music late into the night**. The noise was relentless, and even with the windows shut (which only made the heat worse), the bass from the music kept vibrating through the walls. The hotel itself wasn’t much quieter. **Thin walls and poor soundproofing** meant I could hear everything from neighboring rooms and the hallway—doors slamming, people talking, and even footsteps above. It felt more like a party hostel than a place to rest. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful or comfortable stay, especially in the summer. Between the broken AC, the street noise, and the general lack of quiet, it was nearly impossible to get a good night’s sleep.

Dårlig klimaanlegg på rommet

Ble møtt av et innbydende lobby- og resepsjonsområde med hyggelig betjening. Vel oppe på rommet, et superiorrom, ble vi møtt av et støyende klimaanlegg som bare blåste varmluft. Det bidro uansett innstilling ikke til å redusere temperaturen, selv om støynivået ble bedre på de to laveste trinnene. Rommet lå i 6. etasje og hadde ganske stor takterasse. Denne hadde imidlertid ei perforert gummimatte og en konstruksjon for øvrig som gjorde at regnvann ble liggende på gulvet og som medførte at man ble kliss våt dersom man gikk ut i sokkelesten. Videre forventet vi faktisk et lite kjøleskap på rommet, som tross alt skulle være superior, men det er åpenbart at dette kun angir størrelsen på selve senga, og muligens noen ekstra kvadratmeter rom.

Rent, bra, tyst, prisvärt och centralt. Väldigt varmt på rummet trots högsta fläkt/AC. Men det var otroligt varmt ute och nästan fullbelagt på hotellet. Återkommer gärna.

Bra och serviceminded personal. Hotellet ligger centralt i Karlstad med gångavstånd till det mesta. Är nöjd med vistelsen. Vi stannade till på genomresa för fortsatt färd hemåt.
