Very smelly room

The hotel was fine. Breakfast was amazing with eggs waffles sausage potatoes and the usual breads cereals and yogurts. My two complaints was they charged $75 extra for our dog (my fault for not checking on the price before booking) and our room had a TERRIBLE Smell. You would get used to it after awhile but then be affronted every time you re-entered the room. A combo of dead animal and must with ineffective air freshener sprayed over it. Also the hallway carpets were stained and dirty although the room seemed relatively clean In the end I wouldn’t stay there again because of the dog tariff but wouldn’t rule it out if we were dog less.

On a whole everything was good. The morning staff was not very friendly and spent a lot of time in the office. The gentleman in afternoon was very nice and helpful. Our room needed a little more care. The headboards were dusty, and the carpet throughout the room was very dirty. The carpet on the side of the room near the air conditioner all the way to the corner of the bed felt damp and again was very dirty.

Nice hotel option in Southern Vermont

Great hotel to stay when traveling in Vermont. Convenient - right off of I-91, centrally located to a number of restaurants and food options. Pet-friendly hotel, we brought our furry friend and he was comfortable. Amenities were nice and clean including the pool and fitness area. Friendly staff who are extremely helpful.

Hotel Review: Hampton Inn – A Seamless Stay with Exceptional Service I recently stayed at the Hampton Inn and was thoroughly impressed by the level of service and hospitality from start to finish. From the moment I walked in, the front desk staff made me feel genuinely welcome. Check-in was quick, and they even offered complimentary bottled water and local dining recommendations, which was a thoughtful touch. The room was spotless, well-stocked, and comfortable — exactly what you’d hope for after a long day of travel. The housekeeping team clearly takes pride in their work. I also appreciated the small details, like plenty of charging ports, crisp bedding, and a quiet HVAC system. What truly stood out, though, was the service. Every staff member I interacted with was friendly, helpful, and professional. Whether it was a late-night request for extra towels or early morning coffee in the lobby, they handled everything with a smile and prompt attention. Breakfast was fresh and well-organized, with a good mix of hot and cold options. The dining area was clean and constantly replenished, even during peak hours — another example of the staff going above and beyond. Overall, this Hampton Inn exceeded expectations. It’s a great value with top-tier customer service that rivals more expensive hotels. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to anyone traveling through the area.

Don't settle.

When we checked in the room was not whst I booked. Also the room had a dead mouse smell. We asked for a change. We were told by the staff she had no authority to make a change. We asked to have her call her manager. The manager got us into the correct room. No bad smell. Correct bed.

A Big Meh…

We rented adjoining rooms (the family suite we had originally booked was unavailable when we arrived). One room was definitely more updated whereas the other had a fridge that had broken shelves, rust, and was not in good working order. The staff (other than Robert who assisted us upon check in) were rude, dismissive, and not at all friendly. Although I usually love a Hampton Inn, this one was not worth the stay. We will definitely be booking with another hotel if we travel to Brattleboro again.

Great little spot

Perfectly comfortable for an overnight stay. The bathroom did have some peeling wallpaper and mold on the ceiling over the tub. Its definitely showing its age, but the front desk clerk was super friendly. She made up for the construction workers in the parking lot who were leering at me when I came in from picking up a bite to eat. It looks like they were staying there. Not the hotels fault at all though. Breakfast looked good too, though I just had a quick piece of toast. Check in sugar cookies were yummy.

Walls were thin as paper. Awakened at 5 in the morning by people walking upstairs. Later, I thought someone was in my shower, but it was the next room over--that is how clearly I could hear. I heard whole conversations next door. Miserable!
