This place does not look like much on the outside, but once you walk through that turquoise blue gate you walk into this eccentric beautiful hotel with gorgeous paintings and metal work and a beautiful Mosaic fireplace. This morning they had it lit for breakfast as it was a bit chilly and it was just a beautiful morning with a delicious breakfast. I’d come back and stay if I was staying in Albuquerque again.

Great experience! Property is old but the fact that you have a whole room, full kitchen, and a tv room make this place very cozy and home like. There is an adult only hot tub area in the center that was nice after site seeing and hiking. Breakfast was nice and the staff were very friendly. If we travel here again, we will definitely stay here. If traveling with friends, it will be nice because everyone will have their own mini apartment. Very cool little spot with friendly staff.

Comfy, cozy, charming. Overall our stay was fantastic. Beautiful view of lush garden area. Friendly staff. Yummy breafast, free parking. Walking distance to old town. Our new favorite stay nook. We Love Albuquerque. Great concert venue, ysleta amphitheater always has the best shows! Great little getaway! Love love love.

This property is charming, rustic, quiet, easy walk to Old Town. Breakfast was excellent. I think it would be quite nice in spring, summer, fall - rooms are cold in winter due to inadequate heating system - forced hot air with vents near ceiling.

The most charming hotel I’ve ever stayed in.

This has to be of the most charming places I’ve ever stayed at. The room is spacious and decorated in Albuquerque, NM fare, with turquoise studded pieces and local art. The room is clean with a full kitchen. The hotel has multiple casitas spread out over the estate and a very modern Jacuzzi that is communal in the center area. The hotel is listed as dog friendly, however I think that service dogs are allowed but please call ahead before you arrive to notify the owners. I made the mistake of not doing this which means my original room booking will need to be changed to another room (which makes me sad) but they only have a few dog friendly rooms. The hotel is in Old Town and there are plenty of things to do locally.

It is hard not to talk about what is different for this property. The 'rooms' were all once apartments, so each has a full kitchen, living room, bedroom, and bathroom. Small courtyards are enclosed by clusters of the casitas. Breakfast is continental or a hot served and the hot served was very nice. And the location a block from Old Town is a treasure trove of things to explore.

Staff was welcoming. Historic building, so old, but clean. Breakfast cooked to order was wonderful. Moderation of room temperature was difficult, as windows didn't open and thermostat was governed. The condition of this property was not great. On the plus side the hot tub area and gardens were very nice and a positive! On the minus side, outside tile work was crumbling, my room had a ceiling patch that wasn't painted. The room seating (two sofas) needed replaced. I really didn't want to sit in the room. Overall it was okay.

Meh

The proximity to the Old Town Plaza can’t be beat. Unfortunately, that meant hearing cars gunning their engines and street racing long into the wee hours. I found the bed pillows to be far too hard to use for sleep. I ended up using a pillowcase over a couch pillow. The buildings are old, which some folks may call charming. It means that the floors creak and many compromises were necessary in modernizing the casitas. The grounds are attractively decorated. Breakfast was good. The staff was nice.
