Terrible Stay – Will Not Return
As soon as we arrived at our room, we noticed it was very warm. We tried adjusting the AC before heading out for the evening, hoping it would cool down while we were gone. While getting ready, we also noticed the room only had two standard towels, even though there were four of us (including our two daughters, ages 12 and 15). We asked the front desk for two additional towels, but the man working there told us they do not give out extra towels. We didn’t make a big deal about it, but it was disappointing.
When we returned that night, the room was still hot and there was a horrible smell in the hallway, as if someone was cooking nearby. Around 1 AM, my daughter woke up because it was too hot to sleep. I called the front desk, and the same man came up to check the AC. He determined it wasn’t working and moved us to a different room—which I appreciated. However, the smell in that area was unbearable. I asked to be moved again, and he explained that some guests were living in the hotel and cooking in their rooms. Thankfully, he moved us farther away to a room where the AC worked.
The next day went fine, but on the morning we were checking out—before a 13-hour drive back to Texas—we discovered there was no hot water. Due to plumbing issues, we were all unable to shower before leaving. This was incredibly frustrating and just the final straw in what was already a bad experience.
