an older property that shows its age and lack of updates. In our room (in the carriage house) the carpeting is old, stained and worn, the doors use old school keys and are stiff and noisy to open/close and when we flushed the toilet, the a loud deep moan shakes the walls for 15-20 seconds and the wifi was unusable, wouldn't stay connected for more than a few seconds.
The breakfast, while very good and homemade, lacked variety - it was same offering each of the 3 mornings we were there. That's not a strike against the property, just my opinion.
I'll give the linens a 4 star, nice towels and sheets that felt like grandma's house. The staff was very friendly.
As a side note, the area around the property is severely depressed, dilapidated houses, terrible roads, boarded up buildings and such, but that's more a testament to Saginaw, such a sad city. Again, that's just my observation, separate from my thoughts on the Montague Inn.
