A terrific hotel, well located for Avignon centre and its attractions. Unfortunately the Main Street was spoiled by aggressive homeless people shouting, fighting and begging outside the nearby Monoprix supermarket.

Great hotel in a great location. It was a 2 minute walk from the train station and less than a 2 minute walk to the place that all the tours picked up at. The rooms (2 of them) were right next to each other, were spacious, had comfortable beds, and they were super quiet. The breakfast was good and we really appreciated the lemon water and croissants that were available all day.

The hotel is well situated close to the train station. It is an easy walk to the Papal Palace or around town. The room was clean and well kept and the breakfast was plentiful. It helped make Avignon a fun stay.

Lovely Stay

Booked two rooms - one for myself, one for my parents. They were in the same category. My room was a fine size. My parents’ was even better - there was even a little foyer and the bathroom was big. No restaurant (except for breakfast) and no one ever manned the bar. But there’s a restaurant right next door that’s open late, with delicious drinks (including mocktails). Staff were friendly and let me practice my French on them.

We loved staying at Le Bristol Hotel. The location couldn’t be beat! It’s inside the walls in the old town and walking distance to all shops, restaurants and sites. The room was spacious, clean and the beds were super comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast on our second morning and it had great variety. The hotel is beautifully decorated and staff was helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend and look forward to staying here again. Merci

The staff of this classic tourist hotel in the heart of the Old City of Avignon was wonderful-- very welcoming and accommodating for our family. The entrance is on a main pedestrian thoroughfare but our rooms overlooked a quiet, charming narrow street. The rooms are simple but pleasant and well appointed. Less than a 10-minute walk from the train station. A variety of restaurants and theaters are within 10-12 minute walk, including the Palais des Popes and several museums.

The location was perfect! So close to the station I needed to be at for my next journey, and easy to walk around the main landmarks and etc. I visited for a day during the festival, and everything being so close, I was able to manage having breakfast, visiting another site, speaking with the staff at the souvenir shop (because I left my jacket on their bus), go upstairs, get ready and then proceed to checkout, still leaving almost half an hour before train departure! Yes, the air conditioning could be better, the room could be larger, but the bar made excellent Aperol Spritz (go for Italian style, if he asks!), but overall, the place had everything I wished it had: clean room, kind staff (especially when I checked in at the bar), great location for a single traveler!

So close (250 mtrs) to train station. very clean. Very good Restaurant at front door. (Hop ON Bus was just about across the road. wifi was a little difficult to connect. I had to put laptop in centre of room to get connection. room 4. (on fringe of range?). I would absolutely recommend this Hotel.

Like: excellent service given by the staff, especialment Danny and Lukas and the rest of the staff. Information and good service. Location hotel is great, closed to shopping places, la gare is just 3 minutes walk and closed to historical places. DID NOT LIKE: hotel needs improvents to be a four stars hotel. There was not a connection to charge the celular, bathtube needs to be more safe for older people.

We were told the air con wasn’t working when we checked in and they couldn’t tell us when it would be fixed. We were led to believe that it had just happened but judging by a review from someone who stayed there four days before us, it had been broken since at least then. It wasn’t fixed during our 3-night stay either so we didn’t have a single nights good sleep. We were offered a fan for our room on the second night and only because we chased for an update on the air con ourselves. The fan helped but we still had to keep windows open at night and my husband was covered from head to toe in mosquito bites from night one due to this. We stayed out of the hotel as much as we could due to this and feel like we wasted our money – we tried getting some compensation through Expedia but to no availability (not due to Expedia, they really tried to help us). I also want to note that I booked this hotel based on the bar/lounge area as that’s a big deal for us in hotels. It was beautiful but empty – there was no atmosphere or social life there at all.
