Worth a revisit

The neighborhood appears sketchier than it really is. The 3 bedroom apartment was beautiful!!! The bedroom off the street was too noisy and you could hear everything outside which made for a sleepless night. We just stayed one night but it’s a great place to revisit.

Great for a layover

Overall, the place was good. It was a great place for a layover while waiting for Cruise. The management communicated very effectively and provded great tips and recommendations. Very easy checkin at any hour. Although accomidations were tight, they were clean, and well maintained.

Lovely place to stay in Santurce, San Juan

Hotel room and common area was well-taken care of and clean. Hotel staff were friendly and easy to contact via text. Cleaning staff were responsive and friendly. Very good support for English speakers. Marc Anthony room was similar in space to New York City hotel room - not spacious but perfectly adequate. On street level, windows have tinting but in the evening you should close the blinds for full privacy. Excellent food, Walmart, Marshalls, fruit market, beaches within 30 min walking distance. Santurce Art Walk is just two blocks away, beaches to the north Outside the hotel (early 2025), Santurce has a lower-SES feel to the west and south of the hotel. People will beg you for money at times. Walking at night was mostly comfortable - more empty than threatening. Parking is _very_ tight on the street. Casa Ciana has a lot that is usually available, but I think using Uber to get to and from the hotel is much more useful and then renting from the nearby locations to travel beyond Old San Juan. Street noise is generally low throughout the night. Practice your Spanish or bring a translater, bring some cash, and visit Restaurant Omayra next door to get some _authentic_ PR food. Or try the food trucks - we didn't get to them this time. I'd stay here again for sure.

Casa Ciana ligt in een onprettige buurt. Wij kwamen ‘s avonds aan en wilden graag iets eten. We voelden ons niet veilig om naar een restaurantje te lopen(vervallen buurt, prostituee’s langs de weg en louche barretjes). Het inchecken gaat met codes die je in moet tikken. Heel onpersoonlijk. Je ziet niemand. Onze kamer was piepklein. Ik kon mijn koffer niet openen. De kamer was wel netjes en schoon met een goed bed. De prijs kwaliteit klopt niet. Veel te duur voor hetgeen je krijgt.

Overnight stay

We stayed here overnight so we wouldn't need to get up super early to drive from Arecibo to catch a flight. Super clean and secure. We easily caught Ubers to and from Old San Juan and was able to enjoy the local nightlife.

This property was exactly as described, super easy to communicate with, and went above and beyond to provided us with a few extra pillows. Check in/out was so smooth, we felt safe in the area, and were glad to have a designated lot for parking due to nearly no street parking available.

I’ve visited San Juan multiple times and this was my first time not staying slightly outside of the Condado area. With that said I was super impressed with Casa Ciana’s overall cleanliness, offered amenities and how spacious the 2 bedroom suite was. Our host Jorge was super helpful and accommodating as well. If there are rooms available on my next visit, Casa Ciana will have my business.

I had a fantastic experience at this place! The location was perfect—within walking distance to some incredible restaurants. The space was very clean and tidy, and I truly appreciated the thoughtful touch of a wine bottle gift. Unfortunately, I was only there for one night, so I didn’t get to enjoy it. A big shoutout to my host, Jorge, who was exceptional and made my stay even better. Highly recommend!
