SO convenient for train, and SO quiet, even though rooms are above the pub. And easy checkout- just dropping key at lift entrance

10/10 Exceptional

I was worried that the room would be noisy, but it was absolutely quiet even on the weekends. Very conveniently located across from Sydenham station for metro, train, and bus access anywhere in the city. (And again, I never heard the buses/trains/traffic from our room.) Our room seemed newly renovated and was very clean. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip through Sydney.

Perfect place to be close to the airport.

Fantastic hotel in the perfect location for a quick trip to the airport. Hotel meal and drinks were wonderful. Rooms are clean and comfortable. A great find - will choose here every time over the more expensive hotels near the airport.

8/10 Very good

The staff were great. You have to order room service at the bar and then bring it up to you however which could be something to note. However, the staff are really friendly and overall was a good experience. The TV connection in the room was a bit glitchy a shame specially during World Cup.

10/10 Exceptional

Not only is the General Gordon in a super convenient and quit location, the pub and beer garden below go off. Aside from the location and vibes, the rooms are spacious, quaintly styled, and the bathrooms are stunning with a fresh renovation. On-top of it all the beds are consistently comfy and the process for checking in and out couldnt be easier. Will definitely be staying again.
