Not only did we have to ring the bell 4-5 times before somebody showed up to check us in, the pool was out of service and the room looked nothing like the pictures online. The door in our bathroom was broken in such a way that when you shut it, it would not reopen without significant force, causing my children to panic because they thought they were trapped in the bathroom. The 2 towels and 1 washcloth in the room (that’s all there was), were all damp, requiring me to go to the front desk to get replacements. The bathtub was filthy and had no shower curtain. The door on the TV stand was broken and there was no iron, ironing board or hair dryer in the room. Breakfast was also inadequate. I decided to eat at a restaurant instead but my daughter ventured to try the fruit loops and said they were stale. We had booked two nights but checked out after one and the hotel refused to refund us for our unused night because the booking was nonrefundable. I disagree with this determination because the booking was made based on the pictures on hotels.com. Had the establishment looked like the advertised pictures, I would’ve been happy to stay the second night.
