During check-in, I had tk sign a T&C agreeing not to smoke in thr bedroom. When I entered the bedroom, the smell of cigars smoke was completely impregnated in the room, even after leaving door open and fan on. For the 4 nights I stayed there, the smell just wouldn't leave. There was litter just outside the door like someone had swept it, but not threw it away. Waited for the next days, and nobody threw it. There was rice noodles stuck to the wall behind the bed, and the sheets and overall bed linens had suspicious stains (food or body fluids). Microwave was placed on top of a chair, and internal plate was too big and didn't rotate. Fire alarm was clearly taken off, not sure that is legal in NOLA. Paid a very high price, given it was French Quarters festival, but value for money was simply not worth it. Weslley from the reception was very nice and helped us with getting a taxi to airport upon early check out, but that might have been the only good thing about the stay.

Parking was easy, front desk staff was fantastic and friendly…. And that… is where it ends. Courtyard was colorful and inviting, room was not. Shelf with holes in it, cheap beds, blemished furniture, and a huge cockroach. I’ve stayed in New Orleans and realize there are places with certain “quirks.” This place needs cleaning, remodeling, and some paint on the walls.

You have to know what you’re booking - a 2 star motel. Once you remember that, it’s not so bad. Although like other reviews say, the motel (not a hotel) NEEDS to buy new sheets and then consistently use bleach. You can tell they were laundered, but the stains are not a good look. After showering I went from the bathroom to bed and my feet were dirty. Cleanliness overall is clearly an issue. The neighborhood seems great - very welcoming, quiet at night, and I didn’t feel scared walking back alone around 10pm. I would stay here again when I’m on a budget.

Comfortable bed, room has alot of moisture floors feel like slime. Staffing was great. No amenities. Strret parking is good. Rooms really need upgraded, rusty faucets and leaking shower. Shower curtians really bad shape. The water going on the floor is not good for the structure of the building

Don't waste your money booking this hotel. I booked the master suite, which I expected to be great, but the room was very poor and dated. The bathroom was dirty, and I found traces of poo in the toilet bowl. The towels and sheets were dingy, though at least they didn't smell bad. After 11 PM, there is no one at the front desk to assist you. During my three-day stay, I had issues with other guests who spent the entire night talking, laughing loudly, and smoking. I messaged the front desk asking for help, and to this day, no one has responded. In fact, my last night was a nightmare, as those guests—whom I had asked to keep quiet after 10 PM—made even more noise and spoke even louder. The smell of cigarettes and marijuana was very strong. I keep wondering how Hotels.com, Expedia, and others still list this hotel as an option. The only good thing is the location—very close to Frenchmen St., Bourbon St., and Royal St.

Don’t expect staff to do much except charge you. Rooms are disgusting. Roaches coming out of the drains and in cob webs on the walls above your bed that apparently the staff thinks is part of the charm.

This hotel is an inexpensive, clean, and safe hotel in Marigny. It is within walking distance of the French Quarter and Frenchman St. Public transportation available nearby. The room I had was clean. The floors were creaky at points but it's a 130 yr old building. If you want a hotel with bells and whistles, stay elsewhere. If you want to experience the charm of Marigny, I highly recommend.

It takes a lot for me to leave a negative review for a small business, but I can't let this slide. I'll skip the room's cleanliness and get right to the worst part when I got locked out of my room and there was no one on-site to help me. After leaving several voicemails and knocking on the darkened office window repeatedly, I ended up having to sleep outside in the cold by pushing some of their exterior barstools together to make a bed. 7:00a is their posted check-in time, so I returned to the office again to find still find no one there. I called again and could hear the phone ringing on the other side of the glass and left another voicemail. I sat in their front stoop like a homeless person for another half hour until I hear movement inside. Finally, a gentleman answered the door and I explained everything. Apparently, he was supposed to be there all night but had skipped out on his duties and proceeded to call me a liar. He then said he didn't have a spare key and that I would have to come back at 9:00a when the manager would be here. I took another frigid nap on my makeshift bed and returned at 9:00a. The manager arrived and said someone was there all night who could have helped me and I pointed out that wasn't true. He also couldn't find a spare key and walked with me to my door where I watched as he had to break into my room. I can't say the ease of his entry made me feel comfortable in the least. I understand you get what you get with 2-star hotels...but wow!!! :(
