Excellent hotel, friendly staff, clean rooms. Small kitchen, unfortunately without microwave. Hotel is located in a very quiet but beautiful surrounding. Not much to do in the village of Schöneck, so for restaurants or shopping you need to take a trip.

Yes, it is an rather „retro“ Hotel and so the sofa is a bit aged. So don‘t expect brand new furnishing/facillities. But it has it‘s charm and is a reminder of the former GDR. The staff is very friedly and helpful and the breakfast is delicious and offers many variations (also vegan milk and breadspread options) and lots of fresh fruit. The pool costs extra but was in good condotion. The whole family enjoyed the slides and the waves. Only the strikt non-smoking policy did not work and people unfortunately smoked on the balkony. The staff was very apologetic about it and tried to solve the problem immediately but could not find pur all smokers. Overall we experienced good value for our money and would definetely book again. An absolute plus: the view is incredible!

In short: one of the worst experiences I've ever had. Worst of all is the customer service. There was only one person at reception who spoke poor English. All the rest of the staff speak only German, all information and signs are in German. When checking in, we did not receive any information about amenities, facilities, absolutely nothing. Also, everyone is EXTREMELY unfriendly, almost rude. Even if there is absolutely no prior information, when you arrive at the hotel they charge for absolutely everything as an extra. To access the pool area, EUR 8 per person for 2 hours. The pool area is old and seedy (as is the entire hotel). The area is not suitable for small children as it is extremely cold and the water was "heated" to only 29 degrees! So we couldn't use the pool, but we still had to pay to stay 15 minutes in this horrible area. The room is extremely old, everything has strong signs of wear and tear. The rug was dirty, as was the couch. The bathroom is small and horrible, low pressure shower, tiny shower box and plastic curtains. In the kitchen there was only 1 pan (which was giant) and that was it! Impossible to use even to heat baby food. There are no microwaves or "normal" cups (only really mini ones). No accessories for cooking basically, not suitable for more than 1 night. Wifi doesn't work in the rooms. The parking lot is far away so it is not convenient if it is cold, raining or snowing.

2-Raum-Appartment war OK für ein paar Tage als 4-köpfige Familie. Die Kochnische hatte einen Kühlschrank, Waschbecken, Herd. Für die Kinder war der neu gemachte Indoorspielplatz mit Bällebad cool, sich das Schwimmbad war nett mit 2 großen Becken, 2 Rutschen, Baby Pool, Höhlensystem und Jacuzzi. Dort gab es für Hotelgäste aber nur 10% Rabatt... Wir hatten Halbpension dabei, war wirklich gut. Wenn man es nicht inkludiert hat, kostet es abends 40 Euro für Erwachsene (inkl Wein, Bier, Softdrinks!) und das Frühstück 22 Euro. Die Lage ist super, man kann direkt raus auf die Skipiste bzw im Sommer zum Kletterwald oder Mountainbike Parcours. Parkplatz kostet 7 Euro pro Nacht. Heizung funktionierte, aber es gibt keine Klimaanlage (Sommer kann also kritisch werden...).

Wir sind schon viele Jahr in dieser Unterkunft als Gast. Die Anlage und die Zimmer sind sauber, es ist alles im Gebäude (Freizeit, Bad, Sauna, Essen und die kleinen Skihänge sind im nahen Außenbereich schnell zu erreichen. Für uns ist es ausreichend, die Kinder haben ihren Spaß und die Anfahrtentfernung erträglich.

Zimmer im 7.Stock herunter gekommen. Von einer Renovierung nichts zu sehen. Bad und Toilette war dreckig. Vorhang zum Schlafzimmer im unteren Bereich über komplette Seite mit Blut verschmiert. Rezeptionistin war nicht kompetent und forsch. Zimmerwechsel fand nicht statt. Hotel war maximal zu 10% belegt. Abendessen im Restaurant war kalt , Auswahl war nicht gut, vieles zu trocken. Sehr schade, da es uns für 4 Personen 100Eur gekostet hat. Das Hotel wirkt sehr alt (70iger) . Geld nimmt man gerne, aber investieren will man nicht wirklich. Sehr schade.

Wir reisen seit über 40 Jahren gern ins IFA Hotel Hohe Reuth. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis für die Zimmer ist einfach super, sowohl Frühstücks- als auch Abendbuffet mit großer Auswahl sowohl für Speisen als auch für Getränke. Ein superneuer Indoorspielplatz für Kinder ist ein weiteres Highlight. Alle Mitarbeiter sind superfreundlich. Auch als perfekter Ausgangspunkt für viele Ausflüge ist das IFA Hotel unschlagbar. Wir kommen auch weiterhin mit großer Freude wieder.

Wir waren bereits das 2. Mal in dem Hotel, weil es uns wirklich gut gefallen hat. Das Zimmer war klein, aber für einen Kurzaufenthalt vollkommen ausreichend. Praktisch fanden wir, dass es auch eine Küchenzeile gab und man somit z. B. Teller für unterwegs mitgebrachtes Essen hatte. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Wir haben das Hotel genutzt, um von dort aus auch die Therme in Bad Elster zu besuchen. In Anbetracht der eher hohen Preise in Bad Elster ist dies sehr empfehlenswert. Auch der Wellnessbereich des Hotels hat uns gefallen. Die Eintrittsgebühr für diese hoteleigene Badelandschaft fanden wir für Hotelgäste etwas hoch, aber wir würden sie dennoch wieder nutzen wollen. Hervorzuheben ist ausserdem das gute Frühstück mit einer wirklich großen Auswahl. Es gab z.B. auch Granini-Säfte, was man eigentlich sonst nur in richtig hochpreisigen Hotels erwarten kann. Wir kommen sicher wieder!

Das Personal war sehr nett und bei Anfragen hat man immer eine freundliche und kompetente Antwort erhalten. Wir hatten Halbpension plus gebucht. Das Essen war abwechslungsreich und liebevoll zubereitet. Es gab sehr viele leckere Salate und Obst. Für jeden war etwas dabei. Auch die Getränke waren zu den Mahlzeiten inklusive. Viel Spaß hatten unsere beiden Enkelkinder in der Badewelt und im Spieleland. Alle Spielgeräte waren neu. Doch sollten alle Eltern genauer auf ihre Kinder achten, damit diese auch dem Alter entsprechend genutzt werden und lange erhalten bleiben. Das Konzept des IFA Hotels finden wir toll ,sehr familienfreundlich , besonders die Kinderangebote. Auch die Umgebung bietet viel . Dabei kommen die Kinder nicht zu kurz. Wir waren mit unseren Enkelkindern zum 2. Mal hier und kommen gern wieder . Vielen Dank den gesamten Mitarbeitern.
